“You will usually find me wearing wearing jeans accompanied by a retro tee….”

If you’ve read the ‘about us’ section then you’ll recognise that statement, as that’s what I had written to describe my style. My ‘look’ is very casual (but that doesn’t mean I don’t make an effort! ) and in a way slightly ‘tomboyish’. Seeing me in a dress is a rare occasion indeed.

Now everyone has their wardrobe weaknesses, items that they simply must have regardless of whether you already own a lot of said items. For example, ballet pumps in every colour, print and material (I know many with this weakness). My wardrobe weakness *drum roll please* are retro print t-shirts.

Why are they my weakness? Well first of all they don’t come cheap. Second of all, every time I see a t-shirt with a nostalgic print on it I want it, no in fact I NEED it. More like an addiction than a weakness. Here’s a little taster of my collection.

To justify my collection, they do get worn all year round. In the Summer I can show them off with a pair of jeans and my gladiator sandals, and when the sun isn’t shining I simply layer with a cardy or jacket and my boots.

The thing I love about retro/print t-shirts is that you get a sense of the persons personality, from what band they like or perhaps they’re favourite film. These kind of tees are not to everyones taste but I love them! They’re fun, cool and versatile. A lot of my tees were from online retro t-shirt store Truffleshuffle.com and high street shops such as New Look, Topshop, Urban Outfitters and Next.

All this t-shirt talk has got me thinking about my next purchase…a Johnny Depp t-shirt from the film ‘Cry Baby’. Trouble is I can’t decide which one, help?
