Ever since Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole started work on the X Factor, the show has started to become less about the music and more about the fashion. And 2010 is no different.
Every week viewers tune in to see the latest fashion installment from the two stars, with Dannii donning her demure maxi’s and over the knee skirts, and Chezza keeping her “nation’s sweetheart” title with her edgey hareem pants and tiny designer mini dresses.
However, not only are the judges getting a heap of column inches this year, but the contestants are also stepping out in the style stakes. Newspapers and magazines across the country are featuring 2010’s boys and girls, and their latest clothing choices. Girl group Belle Amie and solo acts Katie Waissel and Cher Lloyd have been the ones to watch so far.
The four piece girl group with their quirky styling are looking like a new version of The Saturdays, and thankfully for our purse strings, they have been rocking a plethora of high street, and mainly Topshop, pieces.
Cher, or mini Cheryl, has a love it or hate it urban street style, which goes with her choice of songs.
Katie Waissel showed off her edgy wardrobe during her first audition, when she channelled Madonna with her bleach blonde hair, leather jacket and headscarf.
Since then the ITV stylists have toned her down a little bit, but she still keeps a bit of her individuality.
Also on show have been Rebecca and Treyc. Not quite matching the other girls in the style stakes, the pair have still had their fair share of fashion finds.
So, next time you tune in to the X Factor, don’t just watch it for Wagner’s brilliant bongo drums, or Simons shiny teeth, take a look at what the wardrobes have to offer and keep checking our Wardrobe for updates on how to steal their style!
